A Special Day

I'm not referring to Valentine's Day. although that's (obviously) when the photos below were taken. Rather, the next day, February 15, was the first anniversary of our meeting Phoebe. It's hard to believe it's been that long already!! She's changed so much, and yet she remains very much the same little girl we met on that cold Siberian day. For comparison's sake, I'm also re-posting two pictures from last February 15, taken not 20 minutes after we first met.

In the first Valentine's Day photo, Phoebe is kneeling because anytime we kneel with the camera to try to shoot on her level, she kneels too.
